I am very happy that Lashell Tate-Woodson has been chosen employee of November 2023. She is the best caregiver I have ever had, through many surgeries and illnesses of my father, my husband, and myself. Lashell has been the senior caregiver through my time with BrightStar Care, and has trained all of the other caregivers who have provided the rest of my 24-hours of care through my last two joint replacements, making sure that they understand my care needs and the functioning of my household. She has thus ensured that my care through these last 10 months with BrightStar Care has been of excellent quality and smoothly executed. Lashell is very knowledgeable, experienced, and responsible. I am so happy to hear Yvonne Murray has been chosen for Employee of the month! Yvonne (my mama) has been with me, helping me, dealing with me, providing her care and love for me, for 4 years now, through thick and thin and sometimes fire and brimstone too! Everyone who has ever worked with me overnights, knows very well that these shifts with me can be a little “challenging” or maybe “overwhelming,” and I can just maybe be a little more difficult…possibly? But, despite this and the challenges presented, Yvonne-mama shows up in care and love for me, for my family no matter what. As a paraplegic in a wheelchair, I’m in vulnerable position in my home, where I require the assistance of others (who I most often don’t know). Others who come into my home to help me manage my in-home basic necessities, care for my basic well-being and basic activities of daily living. It feels very vulnerable to be in this position and very powerless. I so appreciate my mama Yvonne so much, because she doesn’t just help me with things and provide assistance, with the love and care that she shows and gives me and my family, she helps me feel safe, secure and a sense of containment. I love mama Yvonne. She is a part of my family now and forever! Congratulations and Thank you for Everything!

I reached out to BrightStar Care after my dad had a fall and it was evident he needed some additional care to continue to remain in his home. Heather and a lovely RN came to the house and were very comforting and provided a thorough assessment, quickly finding us two wonderful caregivers. I am very grateful for the BrightStar staff :)

Ive been with BrightStar Care for over a year now and I cannot say a single negative thing about them. The staff is super friendly and professional; and my nurse Fran is fantastic. She’s gentle and kind. Fran always has a smile on her face, and warmth in her eyes. She cares for my well being more than she really has to; which makes the infusion process easy and bearable. We even have fun during our time together it’s like opening my door to a friend I’ve known for years. The office staff, especially Stephanie and Kaitlin, have gone above and beyond their “pay grade” as they say, to accommodate my needs and always with a smile in their voices. Stephanie has often called me several times to find an infusion time that fitted within my schedule- she deserves a raise for sure! On that note, I must thank Fran too for working with me when I’ve had to rearrange her visit due to plumbing problems at my home. All in all, my nurse and the staff at BrightStar Care will always have my gratitude and my loyalty for their excellent service and for being the best home care facility in the business!
