On Saturday, November 8, 2025, BrightStar Care of South Bucks and Southeast Montgomery Counties will be walking with a purpose. We’re proud to take part in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Philadelphia, PA, alongside hundreds of local families, caregivers, and advocates who share the same mission: to help end Alzheimer’s disease.
This walk, organized by the Alzheimer’s Association, is more than a yearly tradition. It’s the largest event of its kind in the world, designed to raise awareness and critical funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research. Across the country—and right here in our local communities—people are coming together to support loved ones, honor those we’ve lost, and push for a future with better answers.
Why the Walk Matters to Our Community
In South Bucks and Southeast Montgomery Counties, we see the impact of Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia every day. The disease doesn’t just affect memory, it changes lives.Families in places like Doylestown, Warminster, Abington, Huntingdon Valley, Newtown, and nearby towns are living with the realities of Alzheimer's right now. It’s the mother who repeats the same question five times in an hour. It’s the grandfather who forgets the way home from the corner store. It’s the caregiver who hasn’t had a full night of sleep in months.
Pennsylvania is home to more than 280,000 people living with Alzheimer’s, and that number is only growing. Behind each diagnosis is a network of family and friends trying to navigate the confusion, grief, and stress that come with it. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s gives these families something powerful—connection, visibility, and hope.
Why BrightStar Care Walks
For our team at BrightStar Care, this walk isn’t just about showing up. It’s about standing shoulder to shoulder with the families we care for every day. Our nurses, caregivers, and staff work closely with clients facing Alzheimer’s and dementia. We’ve seen the tough moments up close, moments where memory slips away, routines break down, and loved ones feel like strangers.
We also know what a difference the right care can make. Families don’t have to go through this alone. That’s why we walk. To raise awareness. To stand up for better support. To remind our community that we’re here and we care.
How We Help Families Facing Alzheimer’s
At BrightStar Care of South Bucks and Southeast Montgomery Counties, we provide personalized, in-home dementia care tailored to the unique needs of each client. Alzheimer’s is complex. No two cases look exactly the same. Our approach is grounded in compassion, backed by clinical oversight, and flexible enough to evolve as the situation changes.
Here’s what makes us different:
- Every care plan is overseen by a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Our caregivers are trained in dementia care best practices—communication, behavior management, safety.
- We’re available 24/7, offering support when families need it most.
- We live and work in the same neighborhoods you do, which means we understand the local challenges and can respond quickly.
Whether someone needs a few hours of help a week or full-time support, we build plans that work for the family, not just the schedule.
