Yes, we offer both part-time and full-time positions in Williamsburg, Newport News, York County, Yorktown, Hampton, Poquoson, and surrounding communities for registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs). Apply for our available nursing jobs through our careers form.

In the state of Virginia, you are not required to have a state-issued license to work as a non-medical caregiver. However, personal care professionals, such as Home Health Aides (HHAs), must complete 75 hours of initial training and 12 hours of annual training.  

Additionally, BrightStar Care of Williamsburg requires a background check, CPR certification, and a tuberculosis (TB) test for all caregivers.

Yes, there is registered nurse (RN) oversight at our Williamsburg home care agency. Our Director of Nursing leads our care team, providing clinical oversight for all home care plans. Through this nurse-led care model, our caregiving and nursing staff get immediate feedback regarding change-in-condition management and care service adjustments.
