Providing RN Oversight on Every Case
Stacey Felski, RN, BSN
How long have you been a Nurse?I started working in health care right out of high school. I worked a year in an AFC home. Then I worked in a Nursing home for Alzheimer’s and dementia, before going to an assisted living while in finished nursing school. During this time, I worked as a CNA, LPN and eventually an RN.
What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?As a nurse I have gained valuable experience by working in a variety of settings as well as roles. Some of these settings include, nursing homes, assisted livings, ED, and observation unit at the hospital. Having worked in multiple roles I understand how the team can best function as a group to give the client the best care possible. With my experience covering as the Resident coordinator I have experience with care plans collaborating with families as well as providers to give the client the most person-centered care possible.
What aspect of your job are you most passionate about? I am passionate about client quality of care and ensuring the client can maintain as much independence as possible for as long as they are capable of. I aim to ensure the client enjoys each day we are there with them. I will make this possible by ensuring all our staff are adequately trained for any client they are placed with. I also work to ensure all clients remain safe.
What are three unique strengths you bring to BrightStar Care?
- I am a great listener. I love listening to the client’s stories: what they enjoy doing, what they like and dislike and what they look forward to.
- I am constantly looking at how we can make care better or more enjoyable for the clients.
- I take pride in ensuring all tasks and duties are done correctly every time. I enjoy training and assisting each caregiver so that they feel confident in their role.
