How long have you been a Nurse?
I received my Bachelor’s in nursing from Towson University and my Master’s in Public Administration from University of Hawaii. I am currently a certified Care Transitions Intervention Nurse, Certified Geriatric Nurse and a Certified Case Manager. As of fall 2015, I have been pursuing a Master’s Program at University of Utah for Care Management with a Certificate in Gerontology.
What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?
I have many years of experience working in home health, management
and geriatric care including:
- 15 years in Home Health as a visiting nurse, liaison nurse and quality assurance
- 4 years geriatric clinic work with geriatricians, geriatric NPs and geri-psyc physicians
- 7 years in case management of geriatric and pediatric insurance members with experience in management, program development, transitional care, on site management of CNAs and RNs and service coordination
- Former board member of Hawaii Association of Case Managers and current board member of Utah Case Managers Association
What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about providing high quality health care to people in the community and working with providers and caregivers across the health care spectrum. I have been passionate about home health care since nursing school days and have always LOVED working with the elderly in clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, senior independent living settings, care homes and private homes. I enjoy learning to increase my skill base and love to help others with education and training to increase theirs as well.

Providing attentive, consistent care with compassion, advocating for each client as needs arise and using my extensive community health knowledge to educate staff and family members so that all of our clients experience the highest level of health possible.
