My parents might need help, where do I begin?

Over the Thanksgiving holidays we received a call from a daughter who lived out of town and was visiting her Mom and Dad.  It had been 6 months since the last visit to see her parents who are in their late 80's.  During the visit she saw several things that concerned her.  Dad had taken a fall recently but fortunately wasn't injured.  He was also forgetting to take his blood pressure medicine and she was concenred about the ramifications of that. Mom was having a difficult time navigating the stairs to do the laundry in the basement as well.

Being an only child living in another state, she knew her parents needed help but didn't know where to start.  She called us and we walked her through the steps to initiate care.  As a follow up, we sent her our Home Care Planning Guide to help her with some of the things to think about to keep her parents safe in their home of 50 years.

With the holidays rapidly approaching, you might experience the same situation as this person faced.  To help you with the process of finding care for your loved one, please feel free to download the free Home Care Planning Guide or call our office at 708.532.2273.  We can schedule a complimentary assessment completed by our Director of Nursing who has 25+ years as a RN. She will develop a personalized plan of care to help your loved ones be safe at home.
