Brightstar's services have really been a big help to my mom since she broke her hip. After a month in the hospital, she wasn't ready to return home without assistance. Brightstar's home health aides have met all her needs, particularly Marie, Jameshia and Tyanna. Their care, warmth and patience have gone a long way toward helping us through a difficult time.

I needed a Physical Therapist and a Home Health Attendant when I came home from the hospital after having surgery. BrightStar Care were very caring, and understanding, and helped me to secure the kind of care that I needed. My Home Health Attendant was very nice, and willing and able to do all of the chores I needed help with - showering, cleaning, and cooking. My Physical Therapist was extremely knowledgeable on many different types of exercises to help me regain my strength and stamina to walk again. The Therapist worked very closely with me monitoring my progress, and giving me exercises to do to help me reach all of my goals. I am now back to feeling myself again, and being totally independent. I could not have done this without BrightStar Care's help. Highly recommend BrightStar Care.

We signed up with BrightStar to care for our mom, who has dementia. Entering this world and leaving our mom in someone else’s care while we worked was completely new and very difficult for our family. We truly couldn’t be happier with the care our mom received. Caroline, Karen, Natasha, and Ola are the absolute best. They went above and beyond for our mom every single day. We never had to worry about her when she was in their hands, and that peace of mind meant everything to us. We will forever be grateful to them and to BrightStar for the compassion, dedication, and love they showed our mom.

Dania is a superstar in my world, she treats me better than family and is always thinking of me and my needs even when she is not here. The level of care she provides is superior to none and from the heart, which is not to say the least, she has a big heart and it shows. She cares for my well being and goes out of her way to do above and beyond and is super cooperative in her schedule to accommodate change. I have been with the team at Brightstar for several years and they are all a superior class of women who go out of their way to make me a priority and feel as part of the Brightstar family, thank you.

Donna at BrightStar is a true gem. When we were in a bind—not once, but twice—she went above and beyond to make sure we had the support we needed. One of those times was during a holiday weekend, and she still managed to move mountains with speed, grace, and kindness. She didn’t just fill a schedule—she truly cared about making sure the aides were the right fit for our situation. Her communication is prompt, her professionalism is unmatched, and her heart is in everything she does. It’s rare to find someone this dedicated, responsive, and compassionate. Donna is an absolute lifesaver, and we are deeply grateful for everything she’s done for our family. BrightStar is lucky to have her!

We are incredibly grateful to BrightStar for stepping in on extremely short notice — over a holiday weekend, no less — to provide care for our loved one, recently injured with a broken hip. Four different aides came to help us during a very stressful time, and each one brought something uniquely wonderful to the table. Lydia was the picture of warmth and experience. Her loving and kind nature immediately set Susan at ease, and her deep caregiving knowledge gave us peace of mind from the moment she walked in. Yolande was a sweet, self-starting miracle. She jumped in without hesitation, quickly identifying what needed to be done and handling it all with gentleness and grace. Madelina brought incredible strength and professionalism. She was knowledgeable and confident, and her calm, kind approach made a world of difference in the midst of chaos. Olasinbo had a magnetic personality and a strong, helpful presence. She connected with Susan in such a meaningful way, and her capable hands and kind heart made us feel truly supported. Each of these women showed up during a critical moment and gave their all. Their compassion, competence, and character turned a crisis into something manageable — even hopeful. We will never forget it.

No, BrightStar Care of Westfield & Summit does not require a minimum number of home care hours. One of the things that makes us different from other home care providers is our flexibility. 

Not every family needs a 12-hour shift or full-time care. Sometimes, Mom needs help getting ready in the morning. Dad may need transportation to an appointment and help getting settled afterward. A family caregiver may simply need a few hours to assist them and run errands. 

We offer flexible home care options, including short visits, so families can receive the amount of help they need without committing to more care simply to meet an agency minimum.
