Dalton Sycks

Dalton Sycks, VP of AI Strategy & Enablement

“AI is not itself an answer to organizational needs. It is one more tool in our toolbox we can and should use to solve our biggest problems and support our people.”

As Vice President of AI Strategy & Enablement for BrightStar Care®, Dalton Sycks leads the organization’s efforts to translate rapidly evolving artificial intelligence capabilities into practical, measurable value for the company, franchisees, caregivers, nurses, and the families they serve. His work spans enterprise AI strategy, governance, education and enablement, while partnering across the organization to identify and implement solutions that improve the care experience, operational efficiency, and growth.

Dalton Sycks works across business, clinical, and technology teams to identify high-value problems and determine where AI can make a meaningful difference. His focus is not AI for AI’s sake. He believes success should be measured by business outcomes, adoption, and improvements in how work gets done, not simply by the number of tools or pilots launched.

Before joining BrightStar Care, Dalton’s career focused on enterprise strategy and large-scale digital transformations. He has worked with many F500 healthcare companies to set their corporate agenda, design, and execute transformative programs, and achieve measurable results.

Dalton was drawn to BrightStar Care by the opportunity to apply emerging technology in a business where its impact can be felt at multiple levels: helping franchise owners build stronger businesses, enabling employees to work more effectively and, ultimately, supporting the delivery of high-quality care to more people. BrightStar Care's combination of a large entrepreneurial franchise network, complex healthcare operations, and commitment to innovation creates an opportunity to turn AI from an emerging technology into a practical business capability.

For Dalton, a successful AI leader is as much a translator and change leader as a technologist. His mandate is to connect emerging capabilities to real business problems, bring technical and non-technical teams together, and help people become confident participants in change rather than passive recipients of it. Dalton’s goal is to help make BrightStar Care a model for how a franchise organization can adopt AI responsibly at scale, creating measurable value while preserving human relationships at the center of care.

Outside of work, Dalton and his wife, Dani, spend their days chasing two young daughters and family dog, Mocha, around their home and outdoors in the beautiful pacific northwest.
