Kelley Hill, MSN RN, CPHQ, CPPS, SVP of Clinical Operations

“BrightStar Care is best positioned to accept the opportunities and challenges that continue to funnel into home care and be the premier partner for payers, providers, programs, and people seeking home care services.”

Kelley Hill joined BrightStar Care in 2025 as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations, where she leads the Clinical team and liaises with the executive leadership team and other operational departments. What she loves most about her work with BrightStar Care is the willingness of company leaders to support and advance one another, as well as the cohesion they create and the autonomy they allow their teams.

Kelley has been a registered nurse for nearly 20 years, working in emergency services, palliative and hospice care, psychiatric and behavioral health, and home health leadership. She holds several degrees, including Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Chamberlain University, Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing from IUPUI, Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ball State University, and Bachelor of Science in Philosophy from Ball State University.

Most recently, Kelley co-founded and served as Chief Clinical Officer for a digital health tech platform that supported family caregivers. She also consulted with Homewatch CareGivers to build accreditation and skilled nursing programs.

Prior to that, she was Executive Director of Compliance & Clinical Services for FirstLight Home Care. She remains a per diem Associate with CHAP and an adjunct professor in the Accelerated BSN program at Xavier University.

Kelley has held multiple specialty certifications over the course of her career. She is currently a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS). She has been active with the IHI-CHAP efforts to bring Age-Friendly Care into the home since 2019, serving on the Advisory Board that developed the standards for the Age-Friendly Care at Home designation. She also served on the CHAP Hospital at Home Advisory Board for setting certification standards.

Throughout her career, Kelley has designed, developed, and implemented several clinical programs—many at the national level—that have been recognized and duplicated among industry leaders. Her programs include multiple acute care initiatives, skilled programming for home care, change in condition programming for home care, infection prevention and sepsis awareness for home health, and chronic cardiopulmonary condition management for both home health and hospice.

She believes in utilizing a transformational and adaptive style of leadership through which she can embrace ambiguity, foster collaboration, and create environments that support innovation, shared purpose, and holistic thinking. Through this leadership style, she hopes to evolve and elevate the Clinical team to excellence, positioning them at the hub of BrightStar Care operations.

Kelley is based near Cincinnati, OH, where she lives with her daughter, Siberian Husky, and housecat. In her free time, she can be found supporting her daughter’s academics and activities, reading, writing, staying active, and enjoying different wines and cheeses.
