Lisa Slama

Lisa Slama, SVP of Enterprise Growth

As Senior Vice President of Enterprise Growth for BrightStar Care®, Lisa Slama is dedicated to forging strong relationships across payors, health systems and clinical services partners in order to accelerate and amplify the brand’s mission to deliver A Higher Standard® of care. In this role, Lisa is responsible for identifying and cultivating enterprise-level relationships that expand BrightStar Care’s current presence and deepen its impact within the broader healthcare ecosystem.

Lisa has spent her entire career in healthcare, driven by a deep belief that people deserve to receive high-quality, nurse-led care in a setting where they feel comfortable and relaxed. Having worked extensively with hospital systems, she recognizes that home care remains an underutilized and impactful resource in today’s healthcare landscape.

“BrightStar Care started because of client needs and it’s what continues to propel us forward,” said Lisa. “There’s an enormous opportunity to bring quality personal and clinical care into more homes, serving more families — and I’m committed to keeping BrightStar Care positioned as the leader of this increasingly connected, patient-centered model of care.”

Lisa’s leadership style is defined by both depth and perspective. She is known for getting in the weeds alongside her team, digging into challenges until they are fully resolved. She simultaneously keeps a clear view of the bigger picture of healthcare in the United States and where the organization is headed. Lisa is known to be flexible, persistent and solutions-oriented — someone who identifies a problem and doesn’t let go until it is solved.

When considering the opportunity to join BrightStar Care, Lisa immediately realized that the brand’s values align seamlessly with her own. She saw a unique chance to make a meaningful difference in a space that is facing many headwinds — from staffing challenges and rapidly-evolving technology to governmental policy issues and the competitive marketplace.

For Lisa, home care is not just a service, it is a philosophy and a calling. She believes in meeting people where they are — literally — in the familiarity and convenience of their own homes.

Lisa and her husband are Wisconsin natives who enjoy spending time on the water with their family. She is the proud mother of two teenage boys, which has proven to be excellent continuing education in patience, flexibility and knowing when to pick your battles.
