  • Nancy Hill, RN BSN

    Director of Nursing

    As our Director of Nursing, Nancy is passionate about providing exemplary healthcare and making a difference in the lives of BrightStar Care clients and caregivers. A multitasker and avid believer of providing honest protocol and continuous improvement for quality in home healthcare, Nancy graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with her Bachelor of Science of nursing (RN) degree in 2005. Nancy worked as a cardiac nurse for 17 years at PeaceHealth Medical Center and has provided private in-home care for the elderly for the past 8 years. She has also done medical consulting on a national basis for several advocacy groups. During and after the COVID pandemic, Nancy served the public by defending our constitutional rights and representing people that face unjust discrimination. In her free time Nancy loves home-schooling and spending time with her 5 kids and enjoys taking care of her mom (whom has dementia), gardening, baking, reading, staying active in the community and meeting the needs others.

    My life dream of helping people in need was realized with the formation of BrightsStar Care of Bellingham/Mt. Vernon in July of 2021. I’ve enjoyed 39-years of commercial, industrial and institutional success and am honored to lead our talented home care team as CEO/Owner. I recognize the importance of providing safe and effective care as a result of my long career and family experiences with many hospitals and nursing facilities. I’m a chemist and graduate of Northwest University, with a degree in Business Management. I really believe the BrightStar Care model helps people realize a higher quality of life with proactive solutions that maintain their dignity and independence within their own homes. I’m Happily married with 6 children and reside in Bellingham, WA. In my spare time, I love to sportfish and hike with my wife, kids and our loyal hunting dogs - Marco and Polo.

  • Lukas Woltor

    Administration Manager

    As our Administration Manager, Lukas Wolter joined the Brightstar Care team because he wanted to work for a company with ethical values and make a real difference in people’s everyday lives. Lukas is a lifelong Whatcom County resident and graduated from Western Governers University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Specializing in Information Technology Management. Lukas previously served as the Marketing and Ropes Course Director at Lutherwood Camp and Retreat Center, where he learned valuable skills in managing and working as a team, motivating people to reach their goals, and facilitating personal growth. In his free time, Lukas enjoys walking his senior golden retriever, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.

    Community Relations Manager

    As our Community Relations Manager (CRM), Deanna cares about making a difference in the lives of our clients at BrightStar Care. With 20 years of medical field work experience, Deanna started with cardiac telemetry, long-term care, and then paramedic training. After a successful foray into retail business leadership with a national company, Deanna jumped back into home healthcare, which is truly her passion. With the many changes in healthcare through the years, Deanna has developed an acute appreciation for providing solutions for the various challenges of our BrightStar Care clients.  She’s passionate about inspiring teams, improving performance, and delivering exceptional client experience by training staff members on the importance of maintaining a solution-focused mindset.  Deanna provides a calm and empathetic approach to managing complex working relationships and effectively facilitating cross-functional collaboration with client families and our care team. In her free time Deanna loves to garden, hike and being outdoors.

  • Aliyah Mintah-Myers

    Customer Care Manager

    Aliyah is our professional and cheerful Customer Care Manager (CCM) at BrightStar Care of Bellingham/Mt. Vernon. Born and raised in Whatcom County, she is a graduate from Ferndale High School and became a student/athlete at Whatcom Community College. Aliyah played soccer at the collegiate level and ran cross-country. Aliyah is not only competitive, but she also contributes to our community as a coach for soccer teams ranging from ages 8-17. Aliyah originally joined the healthcare field as a caregiver and administrator, before joining our team as our CCM. She believes it’s incredibly rewarding to connect and help others through any stage of life. In her personal time, she enjoys anything native to the Pacific Northwest and expanding her various interests while being a daughter, older sister, and a team-mate to many.
