Highlighting A Higher Standard of Care in 2021

These BrightStar Care Montgomery County Caregivers are highlighted this year for their outstanding care:

Elizabeth C.

Elizabeth is an extraordinary caregiver, and her relationships with her clients and their families make her a leader on the BrightStar Care team. She sets the bar higher for everyone, and her care for each client makes a huge, positive impact. One client caregiver story was about her respect for Miss Edith.  Elizabeth began caring for Edith after a Parkinson related fall and a stay at a short-term rehab. She gave excellent care, and she also offered compassion and caring and helped the family navigate the decline of their mother’s health with empathy and knowledge, and experience. She educated the family on what was happening with their mother and what to expect with grace, humor, and dedication. Elizabeth gives to each of the family members in unique ways, by regular communication, updates, and sharing. Edith’s family felt that the care their mother was given by Brightstar Care allowed them to have a more meaningful relationship and also helped them let her go. One of Elizabeth’s notable achievements was being nominated for the 2020 Brightstar Care Caregiver of the Year Award, which was one of many wonderful caregivers selected for this nomination.

Rosa  is an amazing caregiver. She has a positive outlook and is happy to help other caregivers sharing  her practical knowledge and experience. Rosa is an experienced caregiver in home and community settings and always goes above and beyond to give her clients a higher standard of care. She is especially skilled in helping with dementia clients, where her excellent skills and creative and caring personality help give her clients comfort and joy. She is very skilled in using creative ways to engage her clients and always finds ways to help them enjoy life!  Rosa is a leader on our Brightstar Care team, and her joyful way of caring for others is valuable to all she encounters in her role.

Haydee tries to find out as much as she can about her dementia client’s past- about what things they liked doing when they were younger because sometimes clients remember clearly things that are from long ago. An example of music as a way of bringing out happy memories is something she often finds, and it is a wonderful experience to facilitate this joy. She tries to meet her clients where they are and help them live their best life. She is happy to help others and is always willing to share her experience and expertise with other caregivers.
