Levine Children’s Hospital included as U.S. News & World Report best in the nation

U.S. News & World Report names Charlotte-based Pediatric facility as one of its Best Children’s Hospitals for the ninth consecutive year

Levine is ranked sixth  in this year's survey for the following:  cancer, cardiology and heart surgery, gastroenterology & GI Surgery, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery as well as orthopedics.

We’ll never stop making the best care for kids even better,” says Callie Dobbins, Levine Children’s Hospital facility executive.
According to US News, this is the 12th annual ranking of children’s hospitals by U.S. News. The publication highlights the top 50 hospitals nationwide across 10 pediatric specialties.

The publication aims to help families with complex and rare conditions find the best medical care available.
“Having a child who is born with or develops a serious illness is one of the most difficult situations a parent can face,” says Ben Harder, chief of health analysis at U.S. News.

Levine is the only pediatric medical center in Charlotte to be ranked.
The 12-story, 234-bed facility is on the campus of Carolinas Medical Center, the flagship hospital of Atrium Health. It opened in 2007.

It has grown its service to span 30-plus pediatric specialties.
Levine also has 150 pediatricians, and its network includes options such as children’s urgent care and emergency department.
