Our caregivers help provide light housekeeping and help around the house to clients who struggle to keep up their home because of a medical condition or disability. As seniors age, BrightStar Care helps them live safely in their homes. Our Director of Nursing provides safety inspections and a care plan to ensure their home is the best place for them to be.
Home safety is a priority. We not only look at home cleanliness and food safety, but we also provide medication management and the disposal of expired medications.
Here are recommendations on how to clean to stop the spread of germs:
- Clean and disinfect high traffic areas in the home
- Clean and store toothbrushes safely
- Clean cell phones, television remotes, and all handheld devices
- Create a new policy - no shoes in the house - shoes bring in germs
- Look for places where mold might be hiding
- Make handwashing a priority
- Clean your pillows
- Wash your sheets and clothes at least once a week
When an older adult lives alone without a relative nearby, we can provide support in your absence. Our caregivers and in-home health agency will help assist with 24-hour home care services when your loved one needs continuous assistance in daily tasks or short-term help while recovering from medical procedures.
