February is American Heart Month

February 1, 2012
The month of February is American Heart Month. But why do we recognize this? Well, according to theĀ CDC, someone experiences a coronary event every 25 seconds and heart disease is a leading cause of death in North America. And although heart disease is so prevalent, there is still a lot of misinformation out there, so we wanted to share a helpful infographic to dispell some common myths about heart disease. Share this with family, friends and neighbors - hey, it could save their life (click the image below to see it enlarged).                 Back in November we introduced a short film called "Just a little heart attack" starring Elizabeth Banks. See the film by clicking here.   (Graph and blog by Erin Ramczyk)
