BrightStar Care Delray Beach Joins the Rally to Tally to meet with Florida Legislators to advocate for Alzheimer’s patients, Caregivers and Families. Owner Amy Adaniel said “I was honored to be a part of this effort along with the 20 other advocates from our region.”
The Southeast Florida Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association went to Tallahassee Jan 26-28, to advocate for the 510,000 people in Chapter’s region diagnosed or living with Alzheimer’s, as well as their caregivers and families. 200,000 people within Palm Beach County alone are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, an area which includes Amy’s BrightStar Care Home Health Agency that provides Alzheimer’s services in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach.
Amy went on to say, “We spent our time discussing initiatives and the 2016 priorities which include: increased respite services, supporting Alzheimer’s research, enhanced dementia training, ensuring multicultural outreach and promoting early diagnosis.” “We shared our personal stories with both Representatives and Senators in the State Legislature, and we asked for their support of the Association, as well for the financial commitment and funding for these important initiatives.”
