The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank helps to provide nutritious food to over 31,000 people through our network of 160 community partners operating more than 260 food assistance programs. In 2017, the Food Bank collected and distributed over 4.2 million pounds of food and other grocery products; the equivalent of over 3.3 million meals provided to those in need. Volunteers Needed!

The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank will soon be a licensed Bingo operating organization.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
1. Selling bingo cards.
2. Selling pull tabs
3. Handling payouts
4. Helping bingo players when needed
5. Clean-up after game play

This role is best suited to an individual with either an outgoing personality, or the ability to interact comfortably with people of all ages and backgrounds. As well as being an onsite representative for our agency, the volunteer's interactions with staff and patrons should contribute to the overall atmosphere and experience for all. They are asking for a commitment of one Saturday a month, with the first shift being a training shift. Basic math skills and organizational skills are required. All money will be in cash and must be accurately handled. Shifts are the full 6 hours, unless arrangements are made ahead of time for abbreviated shifts.

All new volunteers must attend a Volunteer Orientation prior to signing up for a volunteer opportunity. Orientation dates can be found below.
