Patricia Preztunik, President and Owner
Patricia Preztunik opened her BrightStar business in 2009, following a long business career as a consultant specializing in how technology can improve organizations and client services. Patricia also spent many years in community activities, working with high school students across NJ in group dynamics, public speaking and communication skills. Together those firmed Patricia’s interest in client service done well, with listening to clients at the core.
Patricia continues to make client service the core of her health care service firm. With nurses, aides and therapists, they together customize each client service. Proudly the business achieved accreditation from The Joint Commission in early 2011 and maintains that status for both personal and skilled care. Accreditation at its simplest is an outside, qualified team of evaluators reviewing all aspects of the business, in client care, hiring, and management. Patricia often asks, why wouldn’t you be accredited?
Laura Enwistle, RN, VP of Clinical Operations/ Director of Nursing
Laura joined our team just after the New Year, formally as VP Clinical Operations and responsible for all clinical staff. Laura is also informally called our Director of Nursing / DON and brings with her great client and family understanding from 20+ years in hospice. Laura is making it a point of meeting all clients and staff. Laura is a working mom, and brings those family care insights into her client care.
Joe Marinello, Director of Business Development
Joe Marinello joined us before the end of 2017, largely in an outside sales / business development role. He has a long history in working with medical offices and hospitals through his prior physical therapy business. Joe is a working dad, and coach for his kids' sports teams.
Gloria Valladares, Client Service Coordinator/ Recruiter
Gloria Valladares joined us in October 2017, and is part of the Customer Service Team. Gloria is working with Shola to handle client service requests including scheduling. She is also leading our work in onboarding new hires. Gloria is in the process of obtaining her CHHA, and has a young daughter at home.
Shola Stewart, Client Service Coordinator
Shola Stewart is also on the Customer Services Team. Shola has been with BrightStar for over a year, first working in the field on client cases. Shola tried out “office” time and decided she knew how to help more people by getting the office communications right. She joined the full-time office staff in June 2017. Shola is a CNA, and is renewing her CHHA. Shola has three kids at home, and understands what it feels like to have the office ask for extra help just when her family needs attention too!
