Our office is located at 70 Kinderkamack Rd, Ste 101, Emerson, NJ 07630. We serve families in Hackensack, Paramus, Lyndhurst, Westwood, North Arlington, Wallington, Rutherford, Carlstadt, and other areas in Bergen County.

Yes, we first earned Joint Commission accreditation for skilled and personal care in March 2011 shortly after opening our doors in September 2009. We've maintained that accreditation continuously since 2011, with our most recent resurvey completed in May 2026.

We have served families throughout Bergen County since September 2009, providing nurse-led home care services that blend non-medical care and skilled nursing under one roof. We work to match the right caregiver, with the right skill set, to your specific situation at the start of care, and we do not have a set minimum of time in hours or duration. 

Our caregivers are our employees, not independent contractors, which means we're fully responsible for hiring, managing, and overseeing them. This includes all compliance, including payroll, employer obligation in payroll taxes, and insurances. 

As a licensed Health Care Service Firm in NJ—the only type of agency allowed to provide Aides and Nurses in a private setting—our employees are bonded and insured.

Yes, we have registered nurse (RN) oversight over all of our in-home care plans and services. Every client's services begin with a registered nurse (RN), and an RN stays involved throughout your time with us—whether that's a single day, several days a week, live-in care, or ongoing medical support. This level of RN oversight is how we maintain quality of care for our home care clients.

BrightStar Care of Greater Hackensack stays in close touch throughout your time with us, checking in regularly for your feedback on whether your caregiver is the right fit, has the right skills, and is working a schedule that suits your family.  

If something isn't working, we'll change the caregiver. That's not a reflection on the caregiver. It just means we look for the right match for you. We have a standing policy that the fit has to be right for your family.
