How long have you been nurse?
I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing. I have been practicing as a registered nurse for over eight years, working in a combination of home health and acute care settings.
What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?
I worked as a full-time home health field nurse for BrightStar Care of Scottsdale for three years traveling throughout the community. I gained acute care experience working for a skilled nursing facility for two years and working for a long term acute care facility for three years. I am currently enrolled at Grand Canyon University for a Master of Science degree in nursing.
What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
I am extremely passionate about helping clients in the community because it can provide social interaction and companionship for those otherwise secluded. Home health care also makes it possible for our clients to stay in their homes as they age and avoid institutionalization, which can improve overall quality of life.
I provide A Higher Standard of Care for our clients by...
Actively communicating with all clients on an ongoing and personal basis. This will ensure the highest quality care is being administered to each and every client, every time. I also continue to stay well informed on the latest healthcare related research and participate in continuing educational activities related to clinical knowledge.
I love to travel, and have recently been to Iceland, Brazil, Australia, Italy and Croatia. I am currently planning a trip to Japan next year. I also enjoy wakeboarding and wakesurfing on my days off.

Jessica Maldonado - Staff Coordinator
My name is Jessica Maldonado and I have worked here at BrightStar of Scottsdale for over 4 years. I am the Service Coordinator and ensure that our clients receive the care they so deserve, while maintaining the independence they want. I knew right away that BrightStar was a wonderful company and that I could fulfill my passion of helping the elderly population. I have worked as a caregiver for over 17 years and LNA for over 9 years in multiple settings, including facilities and hospitals. My desire for caregiving did start as a need to take care of loved ones. Once you realize what a difference your help can make, you want to persist, in any way you can. I am excited to continue with BrightStar and see it grow to an even more amazing company and family. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling with my fiancée, and working on home DIY projects.
Deborah Arconti, LPN, Community Service Representative
I love connecting with people in the community to help them better understand what makes BSC so unique and wonderful in a world of many Home Care agencies. My position is made easy because I see the kind of care our staff gives to our clients and I also see how dedicated everyone in our office is to providing the best care possible in a timely fashion. As a nurse I enjoy seeing patients happy and able to stay in their own home longer with our excellent care.
