On Wednesday, August 6, 2025, the team at BrightStar Care S. Charlotte had the distinct honor of sponsoring and hosting the Wine Down Wednesday event for the residents of Connery on Providence — and what a beautiful evening it turned out to be!
As a home care provider rooted in the heart of the community, we believe in building genuine connections that extend far beyond clinical care. This event was a celebration of just that — community, togetherness, and a shared commitment to enhancing the lives of those around us.
A Warm Welcome and a Wonderful Turnout
We were thrilled to welcome over 50 residents who joined us for a relaxing and lively evening. The room quickly filled with the comforting sounds of clinking wine glasses, cheerful conversations, and laughter echoing over a carefully curated wine and cheese spread. From crisp whites to bold reds, the wine was flowing — and so was the spirit of connection.
Residents enjoyed sampling a variety of cheeses, crackers, and other light bites as they settled in to chat with friends old and new. Whether they came for the wine, the fun, or the camaraderie — everyone left with a smile.
Games, Laughter & Lucky Winners
To keep the fun going, we sprinkled in a bit of friendly competition with light game of Retirement Bingo — and the residents were more than ready to play along. There was no shortage of laughs as the group competed for fun prizes and bragging rights.
At the end of the evening, three lucky residents walked away with prizes — but everyone walked away with great memories and the joy of a night well spent.
Sharing Our Mission of Care
We also had the opportunity to briefly share more about BrightStar Care’s mission and how we support individuals and families across South Charlotte. From in-home personal care to skilled nursing, our services are designed to meet people where they are — with compassion, dignity, and excellence.
Many residents expressed appreciation for learning about how we can support not only them but also their friends and family members who may benefit from trusted, professional care in the home. They were excited to learn about additional resources available to them either through the varies Veterans Affair Programs or the new Medicare Guide program for those impacted with Alzheimer’s/Dementia. This opportunity allow us to open doors and conversations that can truly make a difference.
