We are honored and humbled to share that BrightStar Care S. Charlotte has been recognized again with the 2026 Best of Home Care awards for both Provider of Choice and Employer of Choice by Activated Insights, formerly Home Care Pulse.
For families, these awards matter because they are driven by real feedback. Activated Insights bases Provider of Choice on client satisfaction ratings gathered through independent telephone interviews, and Employer of Choice on caregiver satisfaction ratings gathered through independent telephone interviews.
What Provider of Choice and Employer of Choice say about our work
Home care is deeply personal. It enters a family’s living room during seasons that can feel uncertain, exhausting, and emotional. Provider of Choice reflects how clients and families experience care over time, including consistency, communication, and trust.
Employer of Choice reflects something just as important: how caregivers experience their workplace. In home care, quality often starts with the caregiver experience. When caregivers feel supported, respected, and equipped, they can bring steadier presence, better follow-through, and more confidence into each visit.
Recognized again, after years of being nominated and awarded
This recognition is not new for our team. BrightStar Care in South Charlotte has been nominated and recognized multiple times over the years, including prior Provider of Choice awards listed for our agency in earlier years. Our local team also shared that 2025 marked at least the fifth consecutive year receiving these recognitions, which speaks to consistent performance, not a one-time moment.
We do not take that kind of consistency lightly. It usually comes from doing the small things well, day after day: calling families back quickly, showing up on time, documenting changes clearly, listening to what is not being said, and stepping in early when something feels off.
Why we do what we do
We do what we do because we care, and because we believe everyone deserves quality care.
That belief shows up in practical ways. Our approach is designed to support people who want to remain at home safely, whether they need personal care, skilled nursing support, or a mix that changes over time. We aim to be a steady partner for families who are trying to make good decisions in the middle of real life, often while juggling work, kids, and the emotional weight of a parent’s changing needs.
The standard we hold ourselves to in South Charlotte
Awards are meaningful, but they are not the finish line. The work behind them is what matters, and that work tends to be visible in a few consistent behaviors:
- Listening first, then building the care plan around the client’s routines, risks, and goals
- Matching caregivers with intention, not just availability
- Communicating changes quickly, especially when health status or safety needs shift
- Coaching and supporting caregivers so they feel confident in the home
- Treating every client and caregiver with dignity, patience, and respect
It is also worth acknowledging the reality of home care: it is demanding. Caregivers step into homes where they may be supporting someone through mobility decline, memory changes, post-hospital recovery, or complex family dynamics. They often do this work quietly, without an audience, and with real emotional labor. Employer of Choice is meaningful to us because it points back to how we support the people doing that work.
Thank you to our clients, families, and caregivers
To our clients and families: thank you for trusting us in moments that matter. The trust you place in a home care team is significant, and we work hard to earn it each day.
To our caregivers: thank you for the heart you bring into every shift. Your patience, professionalism, and compassion are the reason families feel safer. Your feedback and your standards push us to keep improving.
