WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO BECOME A CAREGIVER?

I have a desire to help people.

Supporting my Brightstar client in progressing towards independence.

WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER CAREGIVERS?

Be observant to the client’s needs and the environment in which the client is accustomed to living.

TELL US YOUR FAVORITE CAREGIVING MOMENT/STORY

Every day has favorite moments within my time with the client.

HOW DO YOU RE-ENERGIZE?

Rest, church, hobbies, friends.

A FEW WORDS ABOUT STEPHANIE FROM AN APPRECIATIVE CLIENT:

Client Suellen: "Ms. Lashell Tate-Woodson is the best caregiver I have ever known.  This includes the many caregivers I have had experience with, through my father’s final illness, my husband’s two knee replacements, and my seven major surgeries (two spinal fusions, two knee replacements, one hip replacement, and two shoulder replacements).

Lashell has been the senior caregiver through my time with BrightStar Care, and has trained all of the other caregivers who have provided the rest of my 24-hours of care through my last two joint replacements, making sure that they understand my care needs and the functioning of my household.  She has thus ensured that my care through these last 10 months has been of excellent quality and smoothly executed.
Lashell is very knowledgeable, experienced, and responsible.  She is also extremely caring.

She understands what I need, and provides it, before I can even ask.  To Lashell, being a caregiver is not just a job—it is a calling.  I am extremely blessed that she is my loving caregiver, my friend, and my Sister-in Christ."
