With nearly four decades of experience, she brings not only skill—but a genuine love for helping others—into the homes of the families she supports. Here’s a closer look at her caregiving journey in her own words.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A CAREGIVER?
I have been in the business of being of service for 37 years.
WHAT ASPECT OF YOUR JOB ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I know that my meaning and purpose has always been to help another who is suffering more than myself. I feel I’ve been given the gift of being invited into someone’s home by loved ones who trust me to provide love, support, and care.
HOW ARE YOU MAKIKNG THINGS MORE POSSIBLE FOR YOUR BRIGHTSTAR CLIENTS?
By honoring that same gift—being invited into a family’s life and trusted to help. I show up with love, support, and care for each person, meeting them where they are and helping however I can.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER CAREGIVERS?
For new caregivers, don’t just go down your task list. Think outside the box. Do something small that will make your client laugh or smile. Those moments matter.
HOW DO YOU RE-ENERGIZE?
Caregiving can be tiring, so I make sure I take time for self-care.

My best times are with my clients when we laugh over silly things.
