There are several great caregivers I should (and will) praise, but Jonathan Lazo has been a wonderful source of support for my father, who has Alzheimer’s. Being an overnight caregiver is tough, especially because of the odd hours. Despite this, Jonathan is always alert and ready to assist my father with anything throughout the night. I never have to worry about my dad getting lost or hurt in the middle of the night because Jonathan jumps into action as soon as my dad wakes up (which can be often throughout the night). Jonathan is also very professional, kind, and communicative with me. It takes a lot to earn my trust when it comes to caring for my dad, and Jonathan has it.
Bright Star served my brother for well over a year before it became necessary for him to enter a memory care center. I was impressed by and thankful for their 24/7availability, their patience and persistence in trying to find the right caregiver match, and their never failing kindness and warmth in dealing with me. Whoever I called from wonderful, patient Heather in scheduling, to billing, to Barbara West, Director, I was always greeted with a friendly voice and "let's get this done" attitude. Special thanks go out to Caregiver Extraordinaire, Stephanie Hernandez, aka Superwoman. Stephanie hung in there through some very challenging times. She always sought to do the best for my brother and me no matter what the circumstances. And she did it with love and service in her heart.
And in the last month Barbara West has helped to secure a new dog, Jack the Beagle, for Silverado Thousand Oaks who will be cared for by my brother who loves dogs! That is above and beyond service!
Joy is a very kind and compassionate caregiver. She always treated my husband with respect and listened to him when he needed something and was very attentive to his needs. She was wonderful to my family and I came to rely on her a lot. I would like to see her get a reward for the special attention she gave to us. She was wonderful and she brought "joy" to us during a stressful time in our lives.

I absolutely love working for BrightStar Care. I've been there for almost 10 months now and it's been great!! The company morale is amazing, I love all my coworkers and office staff! Everyone is so supportive and truly work as a team. Our company truly cares about our patients and clients, and always strives for excellence in quality care which is so important to me as a nurse. This job has been such a blessing. I'm a single mom to a toddler and working at BrightStar has given me the flexibility and freedom to make my own schedule. And working as a home health nurse I get to have patients that I see on a regular basis in which I'm able to build relationships with them and their families which I love. I truly love my job and I owe it all BrightStar care and the amazing team I get to collaborate with. Highly recommend for the care of your loved ones and for employment! 😊

Jeshenia was wonderful. She was not originally scheduled for our family and came to us with just an hour’s notice. She took great care of my Dad and even helped my Mom with anything she needed. She is an excellent caregiver and you’ll be lucky to have her care for you or a loved one.

BrightStar was my first phone call and we had a caretaker arranged to start a day later. After calling, I was told that Barbara would call to give me more information; she quickly did and patiently described their services, answering my questions. Yanely came 2 days later. What a delightful young woman! She is experienced and empathetic, energetic and strong. My ill sister loved her. We are engaging her to care for my sister as long as we can. Impressive all the way around.

Paqual Saunders has cared for my mother a couple different times while her normal caregiver was out of town. She did a wonderful job and is a very experienced caregiver. She was very attentive to my mother’s needs. Even though my mother cannot speak due to a rare brain disorder, Paqual took the time to develop a way to communicate with her using hand signals. She made sure my Mom ate well by preparing her soft food and patiently took the time to feed her one spoon at a time. You can tell that Paqual loves her job of caring for people by the way she diligently works and her attentiveness to the person she is caring for.

Have worked with Brightstar for several years both in Hospice and Assisted Living settings. Very compassionate and reliable caregiver staff. Their response time is top notch. I highly recommend a company who lives their vision and mission statement.
So glad I came across this service. Jonathan Lazo was such a a blessing in the final week with my dad. Kind and compassionate. I know he was able to put my dad at ease as well as being such a genuine help with anything I needed here. I genuinely could not have done this on my own and cannot recommend Jonathan and brightstar enough!
