Frequently Asked Questions

We hire both non-medical caregivers and licensed clinical professionals, such as:

  • caregivers
  • certified nursing assistants (CNAs)
  • home health aides (HHAs)
  • registered nurses (RNs)
  • licensed vocational nurses (LVNs)
  • physical therapists (PTs)
  • occupational therapists (OTs)
  • speech-language pathologists (SLPs)

Available positions vary over time based on staffing needs, patient census, and the types of services currently being requested.

Both caregivers and nurses play important roles in home-based care, but their responsibilities, credentials, and permitted scope of practice are different. In-home caregivers focus on personal care, companionship, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), while in-home nurses provide skilled medical care, such as wound care, medication management, infusions, and other medical treatments.

Job requirements vary by position, but caregivers, nurses, and therapists must meet the education, licensing, experience, screening, and competency standards required for the role. Depending on the position, qualifications may include:

  • relevant professional experience
  • previous home care or home health experience
  • active license or certification (when applicable)
  • valid driver's license with reliable transportation

Applicants must also complete required pre-employment screening, which may include a background check and drug screening.

We match employees with clients based on the client’s care plan, which helps determine the competencies and experience needed for the assignment. We also consider personality, communication style, client preferences, scheduling compatibility, and driving distance for home care assignments. Our goal is to match each client with a care professional who is both qualified for the required care and well-suited to the assignment.

We offer PRN, part-time, full-time, daytime, evening, overnight, weekend, and flexible scheduling opportunities, depending on available assignments. Because clients may need care at many different times of day, assignments can range from short visits to longer shifts, overnight coverage, weekends, or recurring schedules.

Caregiver and nursing opportunities may include hourly shifts, extended shifts, private duty cases, or intermittent visits. Therapy and other clinical roles may also involve visit-based schedules determined by client needs and care plan.

The hiring process for caregivers, nurses, and therapists at our Grapevine home care agency generally includes an application, recruiter screening, in-person interview, onboarding, and competency verification.

Candidates selected for employment must complete the required onboarding paperwork and pre-employment screening, followed by orientation, initial training, and applicable competency or skills sign-offs before being considered for client home care assignments.

You can apply for a caregiver, nursing, or therapy position with our Grapevine home care agency through our online careers form. You can also contact us at 214.800.5566 to ask about current employment opportunities.

Because hiring needs change as new clients and patients begin services, qualified caregivers, nurses, and therapists are encouraged to review current openings regularly.
