I recently began using BrightStar Care with my father three days a week to slowly transition them into the home care idea. We were blessed to have a gentleman named Al come to their home. He was amazing! He found out what they were looking for and stepped right in to help with some house hold chores like cleaning my dad's bathroom, making him lunch and helping him get moving such; as walking the house. He is open to playing board games and talking about all sorts of topics with my dad. Al understands my dads crazy dry humor and laughs at all the jokes we have heard for years. Having fresh ears for these jokes is a wonder for us all. My dad looks forward to seeing Al and my mom can now go run errands while Al is there providing her with piece of mind knowing that if he falls someone is there to help.
Great company and excellent caregivers. We hired Brighstar to assist a relative post-surgery. The team was cheerful, punctual and most of all, extremely capable. Would defintely use them again!

I am writing this review on Gabriella J. who has been caring my 91 year old mother since her partial hip replacement in November. Both my parents have come to love having her in their home. Speaking for my siblings, having her is a blessing and we appreciate the kindness and care she shows both my parents. Toni,our Carr giver, is extremely good at her job. She has the ability to anticipate all of my wife's needs, acting professionally yet with ki.dness toward my wife. She is a gem.
For the last several weeks, mom has been in hospice care and she has been cared for by Brightstar caregivers from the Gurnee office. Two exceptional caregivers, Artha and Victor, have taken such good care of mom and making connections with her. They are both such caring people and professional with their clients. Thank you!
BrightStar Care in Gurnee was certainly a STAR when we needed them. The entire staff is wonderful. They came out to access our needs and listened to our requests in a professional manner the same day that we called them for help. Excellent care started the following day with well trained home health aides. BrightStar was accommodating when we requested the same aide, Marelyn, on a daily basis. She was such a wonderful person, aide, caregiver and we highly recommend her. Other aides were also needed when we went to 24 hour care. They were all excellent. Shout out to Quiipo, Veronda, Nae Nae, Gabby, Suzette and Kiera. They did their job with comfort and care. We were in such wonderful hands during this difficult time and I highly recommend them for any home care needs.
I’ve been a nurse with Brightstar Care Gurnee for 10 years. I’m grateful they hired me right out of nursing school! We have an exceptional group of nurses that work together to take care of our client. We could not run things smoothly without having the great support of our management team in the Gurnee office. My boss and the entire staff have been so helpful in creating a warm and caring environment for the nurses and caregivers to thrive in the field. I’ve also taken advantage of the awesome benefits they offer to employees which have been necessary in keeping me healthy (and not to mention, saving me money!) We have great communication between our nursing team and the office. They make sure our needs are met, and respond promptly with problem-solving solutions when any issues arise. If you’re thinking of working here, you won’t regret it! I love this company and have been so proud to work as a nurse here for nearly a decade.
I was introduced to BrightStar Care when a good friend was at Alden Rehab in Barrington. The Case Manager had given me my friend 3 brochures and BrightStar Care was the first one I called.
Best recommendation ever!I have worked with BrightStar the past 3 months in regards to the care of 2 of our friends that have benefited tremendously from their care givers. Aracely, Jesus(Leo) and Victor are stellar. I could not ask for anyone better-All 3 provide quality, sincere and over the top care for my friends. The staff provides quality customer service as well. They respond within 10 minutes by phone during the week, weekends and even holidays and have answers to my questions within 30 minutes. Brightstar has been a blessing to me as I try to help our friends that have come home after long stays in the hospital and rehab facilities. It is a good and reassuring feeling knowing they are well taken care of.
We had such a positive experience with the caregivers at Brightstar. The communication at their company is excellent, and the follow up when we first got started was so appreciated. They were all punctual which was greatly appreciated. Their employees are compassionate and caring, and they were very kind and respectful when we had to change up a routine or plan for the time they came to be with our Mom. I would highly recommend using their agency.
