I’m Jackie Steiner and I am the Director of Operations at BrightStar Care of Gurnee.I joined this incredible team in June of 2022, bringing over 20 years of operational leadership experience. I am primarily responsible for assisting the office team with day-to-day operations while providing support to our clients and field staff. I have spent most of my professional career in industries that focus on health and wellness, finding the greatest satisfaction in serving others.I am proud to work for a company that strives to meet the needs of our clients and families with the highest standard of care and professionalism. There is nothing more exciting than meeting new people, hearing their stories, and being inspired. When I am not working, I enjoy being outdoors and listening to live music, but most importantly, spending time with my son, boyfriend, and our families.

My personal experience of supporting my siblings with the care for our father with Dementia and my admiration for my wife and her selfless Nursing career of 30 years led me to Brightstar. My professional career has had both Leadership and individual contributor roles. I have worked in several different industries, as such often companies publish core values or pillars that the company should model after. Through the years I have never been a part of something where every action reflects the core value. I am thankful to be a part of an enterprise that wants to “do the right thing.” My goal is to steward the Brightstar solutions to every reach of Lake County. Part of my passion has been coaching youth sports and giving of myself to make young people better each time I can.

Hi, my name is Jossy Thomas, I am the Assistant Director of Nursing at BrightStar Care Gurnee.  I work closely with our Director of Nursing to maintain clinical compliance, provide clinical training for our field staff, and oversee care for our clients.  I graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Anthony College of Nursing.  I have worked in various hospitals in Lake County and loved being at the bedside. My passion to help others is what drove me to be a nurse and I am thankful to have opportunity to apply that in my role.  I truly believe being compassionate and having empathy are greatly valuable as we are in the business of helping others. “At the end of the day, people won’t remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel”, was said by Maya Angelou, which are words I live by in my professional and personal life. I am married to my amazing husband, and we are proud parents of our two little boys who are the center of our universe.  As a family, we enjoy travelling, watching movies, playing games and spending time with our extended family and friends.  

I am Adriana Elizalde, I am the Customer Care Manager at BrightStar Care of Gurnee. I am honored to have become a member of this wonderful team as of September 2022! My goal is to help us achieve our core values, from the hiring process to keeping our clients and their families happy and supported.
Outside of this amazing team, I have 2 wonderful dogs that keep me busy and laughing! I love spending time with my husband and family, whether it’s at family gatherings or just a Monday afternoon. One of my hobbies is working on my Cricut machine and creating different arts and crafts projects.

Hello, I am Lori Markowski and I am a Customer Care Manager at BrightStar Care of Gurnee. I joined the team in October of 2023, and I am super excited to have this opportunity with this amazing company. My goal is to make a difference in people's lives when I answer the phone and can listen to what each client’s needs are. I look forward to being able to provide support and guidance while helping them navigate through challenging times. In my free time, my husband and I love spending time with our 3 grown kids and dog Lucky. We all love spending time outdoors swimming, fishing, hiking, and riding four-wheelers at our cabin in Michigan.

I’m Fortune and I am the Recruiter here at BrightStar Care of Gurnee! I have over 14 years of work experience and 6 years of recruiting experience. I joined BrightStar in December 2023, bringing with me immense recruiting experience from various Fortune 500 companies. I see myself as a people’s person and one of my greatest excitement is sharing the good news with candidates “You are Hired!”. I enjoy spending my time designing ideas and initiating DIY projects. Other times, I enjoy travelling to new places and gaining new experiences.
