I’m Jackie Steiner and I am the Branch Manager at BrightStar Care of Gurnee.  I joined this incredible team in June of 2022, bringing over 20 years of operational leadership experience.  I am primarily responsible for assisting the office team with day-to-day operations while providing support to our clients and field staff.  I have spent most of my professional career in industries that focus on health and wellness, finding the greatest satisfaction in serving others.  I am proud to work for a company that strives to meet the needs of our clients and families with the highest standard of care and professionalism.  There is nothing more exciting than meeting new people, hearing their stories, and being inspired.

My name is Michael Rivera. I have been in healthcare for 10 years and started my career in senior living. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelors in Organizational Communication with a Minor in Public Relations. I also have a Bible and Theology degree from Rockford Leadership University. I enjoy working in healthcare and helping others find quality care so they can thrive in their home longer.  I am proud to be apart of such a dynamic team providing quality home care for clients in Lake County, IL. I have a 6 year old son and a dog (Boston Terrier). I enjoy spending time with my son, working out, traveling and doing home projects and wood working!

Hi, my name is Jossy Thomas, I am the Assistant Director of Nursing at BrightStar Care Gurnee.  I work closely with our Director of Nursing to maintain clinical compliance, provide clinical training for our field staff, and oversee care for our clients.  I graduated with Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Anthony College of Nursing.  I have worked in various hospitals in Lake County and loved being at the bedside. My passion to help others is what drove me to be a nurse and I am thankful to have opportunity to apply that in my role.  I truly believe being compassionate and having empathy are greatly valuable as we are in the business of helping others. “At the end of the day, people won’t remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel”, was said by Maya Angelou, which are words I live by in my professional and personal life. I am married to my amazing husband, and we are proud parents of our two little boys who are the center of our universe.  As a family, we enjoy travelling, watching movies, playing games and spending time with our extended family and friends.  

I’m Matt Honaker and I am the Customer Care Manager at BrightStar Care of Gurnee. I have been contributing to the team’s success since July of 2022. I bring to the team almost 10 years of scheduling and care management experience in the home health care industry. I find joy in being able to help people navigate the care process for their loved ones. Knowing that the work I do helps our clients and caregivers to live a better quality of life makes all my efforts worth it.
When I am not making positive changes in people’s lives, I enjoy trying different restaurants and watching shows with my best friend which as of 3 years ago I have been able to call my wife.

I am Adriana Elizalde, I am the Customer Care Manager at BrightStar Care of Gurnee. I am honored to have become a member of this wonderful team as of September 2022! My goal is to help us achieve our core values, from the hiring process to keeping our clients and their families happy and supported.
Outside of this amazing team, I have 2 wonderful dogs that keep me busy and laughing! I love spending time with my husband and family, whether it’s at family gatherings or just a Monday afternoon. One of my hobbies is working on my Cricut machine and creating different arts and crafts projects.
