Founders of BrightStar Care of Fairfax, Reston, McLean, Arlington-Alexandria, and Lynchburg, Virginia. Rob was born and raised in Lynchburg.

As a Lynchburg native I value the sense of community for our staff and our clients. 
I was a counselor for runaways and youth in crisis prior to raising our three children. Over the years, I have provided care for aging and terminally ill family members.  In 2021, I was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and know firsthand the benefit of exceptional home care. The relationship between the client, caregivers, and nurses in the midst of pain and uncertainty makes the unbearable bearable. I am excited to be a part of BrightStar Care of Lynchburg and bringing the highest standard of care to my community!

I have been a nurse for 17 years and in the medical field for 27 years. I have worked in many areas of nursing such as ICU, Emergency Medicine, Skilled Nursing/LTC and Hospice. These experiences have helped me gain exceptional assessment skills and critical thinking skills that allow me to provide excellent care and assist with matching the most appropriate caregivers for each patient. I love being able to assist patients find the caregivers right for them and making sure they receive the best care possible. I am comfortable thinking out of box. This helps me be better equipped to assist with finding a solution to difficult situations. I have experience in different types of healthcare environments. This has helped me have a broad skill set to provide and teach the care needed. I am committed to compassionate care for all ages. I consider it an honor to serve people and be welcomed into their lives. I enjoy seeing the good our services bring to people.


 

I knew from the young age of thirteen that I had a passion for caring for older people. It has been my privilege to serve many seniors in our community for the past thirty-five years. Over these years, I have served and cared for others in their home or facility. It was in my role as CNA for Rob's dad that I got to know Rob and Kerry (owners) and Jenifer(D.O.O.). We became friends and remained in contact for the past seven years.  I am excited to share my years of knowledge and experience in my new role as field staff manager with Brightstar Care of Lynchburg.
