Bright Star care was exceptional in helping to care for my father at home. Their care providers were of the highest quality, providing compassionate and skillful care. Furthermore, their promptness and clarity in communication was most appreciated as my father's condition required additional scheduling and care. They truly do have exceptional management and staff! I would not consider using anyone other than Bright Start for care of your loved one.

Jennifer and Angel provided professional home health care for my mother. The CNA, Natasha was kind, courteous and knowledgeable about my Moms health needs and medications I would definitely recommend using their services for in home health care and give them a 5 Star rating

Jenifer and Angel are absolutely amazing. I work with a local Hospice agency and I had the opportunity to work with them on a mutual patient. The family absolutely loved the service that BrightStar provided. The family was so lost and overwhelmed caring for their love one. These ladies guided them through the entire process. The family will be forever thankful to BrightStar. They are truly patient centered and the compassion is genuine.

As my mom and dad have aged, it became apparent that they needed help with daily activities. I contacted Jenifer to ask about their services and for guidance and within an hour she responded to my request for information and helped us sort out the best services for my parents. This quality of attention and assistance continued throughout our relationship. Tenesia became their care giver and they quickly fell in love with her. She has a genuine care for her clients and wanted what was best for them. They considered her a friend as well as a trusted caregiver. The Bright Star staff have all been attentive to our changing needs and all of them seemed familiar with my parents and their needs. We could not have asked for a better first time experience in asking for help with my parents! We highly recommend this organization and wish them well as they grow in our community.

Our Story

My husband, Rob, and I opened BrightStar Care in 2012. Providing exceptional home care and excellent customer service is deeply personal for us. We are a family-owned and operated agency - in fact – Rob’s cousin, Jenifer Massie, is our Director of Operations in Lynchburg. From our family and our amazing team, you should expect, and will receive local, personalized, responsive home care.

The impetus in opening BrightStar was our own experience in seeking care for our parents. They wished to remain in their home but we became increasingly worried about their safety and well-being. We knew there had to be a better way to provide home care services and so founded BrightStar Care. Our mission is to provide all levels of care (companion, personal, skilled) in order to keep our community safe at home. We provide services to all ages – newborns through seniors – and are able to provide high acuity services such as vent-trach care.

Call us to explore how we can help your family. We are happy to assist you in navigating the sometimes confusing array of home support services, discuss community resources, and of course, discuss our specific home care services.
