    Owners

In November 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we came out of retirement and relocated from Florida back to Massachusetts to take ownership of the BrightStar Care of Milford-Framingham franchise. This decision was both personal and professional, as the Milford location is ideally situated between our two daughters—our eldest resides in New Hampshire, and our youngest lives in Rhode Island.

Our move back to Massachusetts was driven by a desire to be closer to family while pursuing the exciting opportunity BrightStar Care offered. Brenda, a Registered Nurse, has a passion for helping others, while Rich, a seasoned Sales Professional, excels in building connections and fostering relationships. Together, we bring complementary skills and shared experience to running the franchise, having previously owned and operated a car dealership in Salem, New Hampshire.

While running a business together has its challenges, we thrive as a team, leveraging our strengths to provide quality care and support to our clients. Outside of work, our greatest joy comes from spending time with our family. We are proud grandparents to four wonderful grandchildren: an 8-year-old grandson, a 3-year-old granddaughter, a 2-year-old granddaughter, and a 9-month-old grandson.

  • Melissa Turco

    Branch Manager

Being branch manager for a home health care agency isn't something I saw myself doing, but once I started, I instantly fell in love with it. I started here at BrightStar Care part time to assist my mother (Owner-Brenda) with small tasks. As I learned more about the company, I took on more responsibilities and became manager of our branch. My mom and I work hand-in- hand to ensure all of our clients and employees are taken care of. Not manypeople get the opportunity to work with their family, and I am very lucky to be able to be part of this team. I spend most of my time working in the background taking care of everyday tasks. I like to bring exciting, creative, and fun ideas to help improve our team. When I am not working, you will find me spending time with my family. I am the mom to a wild, loving, 6 year old boy and a baby girl (our mascot, below).

  • Melissa Zaccagnini

    Clinical Supervisor

I bring over 24 years of nursing experience to my role as Clinical Supervisor at BrightStar Care. My background spans the entire lifespan — from newborns to adults — including 12 years in the Newborn ICU. The majority of my career has been dedicated to home care, VNA, and hospice, which has given me a deep understanding of patient needs at every stage of life.

I’m deeply passionate about providing care rooted in dignity and respect — for both patients and staff. I strive to be an advocate, a team player, and someone who is always approachable and understanding. Supporting our caregivers and ensuring quality care for our clients is at the heart of everything I do.

Fun Fact: Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my 10-year-old son, refinishing furniture, painting, and designing clothing.

  • Darian Kenneway RN,BSN

    Field Nurse Supervisor

I have been a nurse for about 4.5 years and I have been in home infusion for about 2.5 years. I have experience caring for a wide variety of patients with a lot of different conditions and needs. I started as an inpatient med-surg nurse and was involved with the float pool a few years ago so I have experience in different areas. I was also a PCA during nursing school and right after graduation. I am experienced with caring for every patient in the same compassionate way and providing precise, skilled, and detailed care.

The part of my job that I am most passionate about is being able to form relationships with patients and provide them the care that they need. In this field, we spend a lot of 1:1 time with patients and their families. This provides a lot of opportunity to get to know each other in a way that’s really important for their care. It’s also amazing to see patients improve and benefit from the care that I am able to provide them. I am also passionate about teaching others what I have learned along the way. I know I don’t have many years of experience, but I feel I have grown a tremendous amount since beginning in the home infusion field and I would love to be able to help other nurses make that transition as well.

3 unique strengths that I bring to BrightStar care are my attention to detail, my commitment to the patients and my work ethic, and my drive to learn. I am very detail oriented when it comes to my nursing skills which is very beneficial for our patients and our team. I am fully committed to our team and our patients care and will always be willing to work in order to provide for our patients. Lastly, I am always looking to strengthen my skills and gain more knowledge. There is so much to learn from others around me and I want to take advantage of that.

A fun fact about me is that if I didn’t become a nurse, I think I would’ve liked to be a teacher.
Some of my interests and hobbies include reading, being in the sun, going on vacation, and I love animals. I have always grown up with pets and I can’t wait to have a dog of my own soon.

  • Richerlisse Luckett

    Customer Care Manager

I’ve been working in the healthcare field since 2022, beginning with caring for mentally disabled elders before transitioning to supporting disabled children. Although I initially pursued cosmetology, I quickly realized my true calling was in healthcare, where I found purpose and fulfillment in providing compassionate care.

I take great pride in my work and approach each role with dedication and a strong commitment to delivering the highest standard of support. Having a close family member in a nursing home gave me personal insight into the challenges clients face when accepting help after living independently. Because of this, I strive to make every client feel comfortable, valued, and confident that they are in good hands.

Fun Fact: I’m terrified of roller coasters — but conquering that fear is definitely on my bucket list.

  • James Randrup

    Recruiter

I’ve been working in recruitment for six years, with experience hiring across high-volume and specialized roles — from frontline and warehouse positions to professional and leadership roles — across multiple industries.

What I’m most passionate about is building strong, reliable teams. I focus on bringing in candidates who are not only qualified, but dependable — people who stay engaged and contribute positively over time. My approach is centered on thoughtful screening, strong candidate matching, and honest conversations because retention and stability matter as teams grow.

At BrightStar Care, I bring three key strengths: precision, adaptability, and team-first thinking. I take ownership, stay loyal to the team, and care deeply about the results of the hires I bring in.

Outside of work, I enjoy light gaming, listening to a wide range of music — from the 1920s to whatever my wife or three-year-old is currently into —and following sports.

  • Rona R. Nares

    Recruitment and Outreach Specialist

I’ve been working in recruitment for more than 20 years, and it’s a field I still find exciting every single day. Over the years, I’ve built a strong background in sourcing, process improvement, and team leadership. My expertise lies in leading recruiters, creating efficient hiring systems, strengthening candidate funnels, and enhancing the overall recruitment experience for both applicants and the team.

I’m most passionate about building recruitment processes that actually work—systems that save time, cut unnecessary steps, and consistently attract great people. I enjoy solving bottlenecks, streamlining workflows, and finding smart, strategic ways to make hiring easier and more effective for everyone involved.

Three strengths I bring to BrightStar Care are being a Process Improver, a Relationship Builder, and a Strategic Thinker. These qualities help me stay focused on both people and performance, balancing empathy with results.

Outside of work, I’m endlessly curious and love visiting new places—especially renewable energy sites, beaches, and local food spots and turning those trips into little adventures. I’m also a proud mom of three, which has taught me the art of multitasking, planning, and staying calm even when life gets hectic. And when I do have downtime, you’ll probably find me relaxing with good music.
