Donna had worked with the client for over 18 months, and the client showed her appreciation for her in the letter for being "prompt, professional, polite, personable, conscientious, thorough, hard-working, efficient, and delightful." However, the biggest compliment was not that. It was how the client felt she was treated as a person. In the client's own words, she said, "from the first day we met, Donna has looked beyond my physical disability to see the real individual. She respectfully interacts with me. And, honestly tells me when she has difficulty with my speech. Then, we persistently find another way for her to understand what I said."
