Teresa Celmer, Chief Marketing Officer

“The company vision to enrich lives and my brand leadership role are a perfect union of my personal and professional values and goals. While I’ve been employed by many reputable organizations, it was only when I joined BrightStar Care that I realized I could have it all — leading the brand marketing mission while gratifying my personal values.”

Moved by Shelly Sun’s vision to provide the highest standard of care and to enrich lives throughout the care journey, Teresa Celmer came to BrightStar Care in 2019 and now serves as Chief Marketing Officer.

Known as a tenacious servant leader, Teresa’s dedication to team growth is her formula for business success. “The team dynamic inspires change, camaraderie and raises the bar as we nurture a healthy dose of competition to stay out in front.”  Her career spans brand, product, channel, and partnership marketing to build strong brand relevancy. The franchise model has allowed her to hone the national strategy and concurrently simplify the local marketing engine. Recognized as one of the 50 CMO Game Changers in the franchise industry by Entrepreneur, Teresa is among the most influential men and women in the franchising industry who are representative of the all-important marketing role. Strategically focused on consumer, B2B and employer branding to attract and retain, Teresa’s penchant for hitting ROI moves the brand toward being known as America's Most Trusted Home Care brand, The Preferred Partner and Employer of Choice in the home care and senior living industries.

Not only is Teresa at the top of her game professionally, but her unrelenting passion for the brand’s mission is what drives her forward. Early in her tenure, she attended her first Living Room Visit with a 24/7 client who had dementia: “I was touched by the patience and warmth the caregiver demonstrated throughout the interaction. When the client is dressed in clean, fresh clothes and feels peaceful in her surroundings, I saw how the care team made her feel safe and loved. It really hit home how the brand delivered on its promise, and it made me proud to be a part of BrightStar Care.”

Teresa’s commitment to serving others extends to her personal life. She is a Board Member of Hope Loves Company, a nonprofit that provides emotional and educational support to children and young adults who have or had a loved one battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) or Lou Gehrig's disease. Hope Loves Company is the only nonprofit in the United States with this specific and important mission. “Because I have been personally impacted by ALS, this organization allows me to serve Lindsey and others through my marketing experience.”  Teresa is married to her husband John and has two grown daughters. They live in Bartlett, Illinois and the house is always busy with kids, friends, and dog activities. Teresa is a fitness enthusiast who loves to travel and appreciates tropical destinations, outdoor concerts, and attending Big10 and SEC football games.
