HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A NURSE/LVN?
I have been a nurse for 33 years
WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO BECOME A NURSE?
I have always been interested in medicine and wanted to begin helping others.
WHAT ASPECT OF THE JOB ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT?
I feel it is a gift to be able to help another human, being either mental or physical assistance.
HOW ARE YOU MAKING MORE POSSIBLE FOR YOUR PASSAGES CLIENTS?
I truly believe that at Passages we not only have a chance to change a life but save a life.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER LVNs?
My advice for other nurses is to embrace nursing and nursing will embrace you!
TELL US YOUR FAVORITE PATIENT MOMENT/STORY
My favorite moment was when I was taking care of a special needs little girl who was blind. When I introduced myself, l had her touch my bangs and then every time I took care of her when I walked into the room she would put her hand up to touch my bangs. People said she didn't understand things, but l knew that she did. This little act started our journey of communicating and accomplishing many goals set by her therapist, who now believed she understood things.
HOW DO YOU RE-ENERGIZE?
I re-energize by faith and sports. I skateboard professionally, and I enjoy surfing, basketball, and tennis. I love watching football and snowboarding. This year's goal is to play and understand golf.

Jondine is the ‘hugger’. She gives hugs to everyone! Jondine has this unique and beautiful way with clients, she makes them feel at ease and special. She handles sick clients with such warmth, love and professionalism, she treats her colleagues with respect and kindness. I get more requests for Jondine than I do any other nurse. Everybody loves Jondine! She always goes that extra mile.”

When we first heard Jondine’s name, we thought maybe a male nurse… sounds like a movie star name? Well, Jondine is an incredible skateboarding mom and nurse who use to work in the music industry but has since become our superstar LVN. Everybody wants Jondine! And when you meet her you know why as she just lights up the room and has a heart of gold, we’ve never heard anything close to a complaint even when life has thrown her some very tough curveballs. Whether it’s a rehabilitation center, hospice or private Client, we know we are sending our best with Jondine. She is an exemplary LVN who guides us to set the standards for all our new LVNs!
