You’re looking at the very FIRST BrightStar Care agency of what has now become a nationally respected brand. We have a proud history of excellent service over the 15 years we’ve been in business! We opened our doors in October of 2002 and have been making our clients’ lives better each and every day since. In 2005 our success and reputation was SO good, we decided to become a franchise, and the rest is history.
Jaclyn Webster, RN BSN | Director of Nursing
How long have you been a Nurse?
I have been a nurse for over six years, and have been in the healthcare field for 15 years. I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?
Prior to becoming a registered nurse, I worked as a CNA doing home health visits and live-ins, as well as working in various assisted and independent living facilities. I have also worked in HR and as a Staffing Coordinator for BrightStar Care. In the past six years, I’ve worked on skilled cases for patients that have needed 24 hour care in their home, executed flu clinics, and have participated in peer teaching. I’m licensed in IL and WI, am ventilator certified, have worked independently through the state of WI, and have worked for BrightStar Care. I have experience with the pediatric, young adult, adult, and senior community. I’ve been in the field as a CNA and RN for BrightStar Care and have worked in the office, giving me a seasoned idea not only of the individual needs of our customers and their family, but of our field staff as well.
What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
I am passionate about people and being an advocate. I love hearing stories about individuals and really getting to know them, past and present, so the best care can be given. I am enthusiastic when it comes to teaching, be it patients, family, or staff. Everyone has a different style of learning, and I love to find creative, out of the box ways to enable understanding. I also have a passion for home health. Sometimes the scary and unexpected can happen, and when a person is receiving individualized care at home, they tend to feel more comfortable, which can facilitate healing, or give to a person more control and dignity in a situation they did not have control over.
I provide A Higher Standard of Care for our BrightStar Care® clients by...
Really listening and being flexible. I believe in doing what needs to be done so our clients are receiving the care and respect they need and deserve. If you have questions about how RN oversight works at BrightStar Care of Gurnee, or if want to speak with our Assistant Director of Nursing, please call us at (847) 782-8282.
Teri Krieger | Director of Operations
I joined BrightStar Care in September of 2017. After 20 years of successfully building regions for start-up and high-growth tech companies, I took some time off to stay home with my young son. On re-entering the workplace, I knew that I needed my work to more closely reflect what I find to be most important in life: people and relationships.
BrightStar Care Gurnee seeks out best in class caregivers and employees who are smart, compassionate and committed to people-centered care. I am honored to be a part of the BrightStar Gurnee team and to have the opportunity, through my profession, to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Christy McLean| Customer Care Manager
I joined BrightStar Care in October 2016 as the Customer Care Manager. I come to this position with 6 years of management experience and over 10 years of customer service experience. I know the importance of managing a great team to provide the best customer service that we can offer not only to our client but also to their family. I chose to come into healthcare after seeing how caregivers can care for a loved one when you might not be able to. I have seen firsthand how much it does help to have someone comfort a loved one when you are unable to do to life situations. I also know the importance of keeping someone in their home or in comfortable surroundings. My goal is to make sure I can do what I can to get the right fit for a loved one needing care.
