Steve Zishka | CEO / Owner
Stephanie and I started BrightStar of Lafayette in 2014. My mother and father both used home care, and we were well aware of the needs in our community for quality home healthcare. Previous to starting BrightStar I had worked in the wireless industry for over 20 years as an Electrical Engineer and in various executive leadership positions. My last position was as the VP of Technical Operations with Centennial Wireless in Fort Wayne, IN. We have lived in Indiana for over 14 years and have two sons that attend school in Southwest Fort Wayne. We are so excited to bring a higher standard of home care to Lafayette, and the rewards of doing so for both our clients and employees every day has been truly amazing.

Brandi Lovvorn, RN Case Manager
I have been a nurse for 11 years with experience in long-term care, hospital bedside nursing, rehabilitation care, and most recently case management. Prior to obtaining my RN, I worked my way up through the ranks of being a CNA and then an LPN. As a case manager, over the last 3 years, I have enjoyed being able to not only do the hands on care part of the position, but I also enjoy being the one to advocate for services for my patients. I strongly believe in doing whats right and doing it right, and BrightStar Care holds itself to a higher standard that I believe helps me do exactly that.
Melissa Morris, RN Specialist
I have been in Health Care for 29 years. I started as a CNA and Home Health Aide and did this for 10 years before going on to pursue a degree in nursing. I have worked in the community as a nurse in a variety of settings including Long term care, Hospital, Hospice and Home Health Care for the past 19 years. I have been working with BrightStar Care since May of 2018. I am proud to be part of this exceptional team. I have a passion for the higher tech cases such as wound care, home infusions and injections. The RN Specialist position allows me to provide compassionate care to a wide age range of clients in the Lafayette and surrounding counties.
