Dennis was originally a native of the Richmond, VA area and moved to Hampton Roads to lead  BrightStar Care of Chesapeake / Virginia Beach. He has a passion for people and focuses great attention on the excellence and care provided to his BrightStar clients. His desire is to see people cared for like family, and he works to bring a higher standard of quality to the team he leads.

Dennis has two adult children and four grandchildren. 

Julie has been an RN for 35 years and worked in a variety of nursing roles in her career. Working as a military wife afforded many opportunities for her growth during that time. She has been a neuro nurse, an ICU nurse, a quality assurance nurse and a staff development and an education nurse, which she truly loved.. In homecare she has held multiple roles from field nurse, quality assurance, staff development, ICD coder, private duty supervisor, nurse liaison and director of nursing. Julie is passionate about education and training for both clients and staff members, knowing that knowledge empowers people to do great things.

Originally from Colonial Heights Virginia, Jennie moved to Chesapeake to become part of the BrigtStar Care team. She has a passion for seeing people helped, served, loved, and taken care of as she would care for her own family. She has worked many years in finance, office management and administration.
Jennie has an eye for detail and does everything with excellence.

She has 5 children and they are the love of her life. 

Jamie has over 5 years of experience as a Staffing Coordinator. She’s worked alongside some of our very own clients as she was also a Personal Care Assistant. Jamie aspires to find your loved one the best caregiver based on their needs. It’s her passion to meet your highest expectations.

In her downtime she enjoys going to Langley Speedway, hanging out with family, and spoiling her nieces and nephew. 

Andrea has been in the healthcare industry for over ten years in one aspect or another. She has a passion for helping people and cares for everyone. Andrea has one son who is graduating high school this summer and also has three bonus sons.  Andrea will be getting married to her best friend this summer. In her free time you can find her at a baseball field supporting her honey. When not at baseball Andrea loves to read and enjoys country music. 

Courtney joined our team in September of 2021. She has gone above and beyond in her job as a receptionist but does way more for our office by assisting our skilled side. Furthermore, she also works at Norfolk General Hospital as a Monitor Surveillance Tech, which speaks greatly to her work ethic.

In her spare time, Courtney enjoys spending quality time with her family, her fiancé Michael, and her four children. As a team, we are thankful for her dedication and hard work, and we look forward to seeing her grow and excel in the workplace.

Linda was born and raised in Virginia Beach. Her first career was in the restaurant business as a manager. When Linda’s husband passed away, she decided to go back to school and become a nurse. She graduated from ODU with her BSN in nursing and has not stopped since that time. Linda is passionate about caring for those that cannot care for themselves and teaching patients and their family members how safely progress towards independence. Linda decided about 13 years ago to become a Certified Wound Nurse. She is highly regarded in the community by both patients and their physicians for her ability to identify wounds and how to heal them quickly. She has worked closely with several general surgeons, vascular surgeons in the area as well as the local wound care clinics. We are very fortunate to have one of the few Certified Wound Nurses in the area working at Brightstar Care. When Linda is not working you can usually find her walking at the mall in the early hours of the day or relaxing with one of her many local family members.

Valerie was born and raised in the Hampton roads area and she has been in the healthcare industry for 20 years. Valerie and her husband share 3 children and 6 grandchildren. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and shopping.
