Yes, we have both full-time and part-time positions available in the Chesapeake and Virginia Beach area for registered nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs). You can apply for nursing jobs through our careers form.

Non-medical caregivers do not need a state-issued license to work as a caregiver with BrightStar Care of Chesapeake / Virginia Beach. However, personal care professionals, such as Home Health Aides (HHAs), must complete 75 hours of initial training and 12 hours of annual training.  

Additionally, BrightStar Care requires a background check, CPR certification, and a tuberculosis (TB) test for all caregivers at our Chesapeake / Virginia Beach location.

Yes, the care team at our Chesapeake / Virginia Beach location is led by a Director of Nursing, a registered nurse (RN), who provides clinical oversight and supervises all home care plans. This nurse-led care model supports our caregivers and nurses by providing them with real-time feedback for care services and change-in-condition management.
