Water is very important in helping maintaining health kidneys. Water makes up our weight by 60-70%, and every part of our body requires water is function properly.

What are the benefits of drinking water?
The consumption of water helps keep a normal temperature, it helps by carrying nutrients and oxygen to your cells, as well as aiding with digestion, constipation, and blood pressure. As far as kidneys, water helps your kidneys by removing wastes from your blood in the form of urine. It can also assist by keeping your blood vessels open so that blood can travel to your kidneys, as well as deliver essential nutrients to them.
The consumption of water can also prevent kidney stones and urinary tract infections (UTIs). Kidney stones are harder to form when there is sufficient amounts of water available to prevent stone-forming crystals from sticking together. Water can help dissolve antibiotics prescribed to treat UTIs which would help by making them more effective.

Water Consumption Recommendations
The National Academy of Medicine suggests that men should intake about 104 oz of fluid per day and for women about 72 ounces. However, the amount of water intake ultimately depends on your age, climate, and overall health. You should consult with your doctor and/or dietician on what their recommendation would be for you and your daily intake of water.
The consumption of water is just like the story of goldilocks and the three bears. You don’t want too little water, and you do not want too much water. You want the perfect amount of water. If you become dehydrated, it can make you feel tired, and can also impair normal bodily functions. Severe dehydration can lead to kidney damage. Too much water, however, can cause hyponatremia, which is when the sodium in your blood is too diluted.
