There are many different types of home care. BrightStar Care takes pride in offering a full range of home care services, so that we can meet all the needs a patient may have or develop, from Companion Care, over Personal Care, to Medical and Nursing Care: Companion Care & Household Assistance: • Social interaction, conversation, and emotional support. • Activities that promote mental stimulation and prevent isolation. • Light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. Personal Care Services: • Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. • Help with mobility, transferring from bed to wheelchair, and other physical support. • Errands and transportation to appointments or social activities. Medical and Nursing Care: • Administration of medications, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs. • Physical, occupational, and speech therapy provided by licensed professionals. • Palliative and end-of-life care for those with serious illnesses. • Support for individuals with specific conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, or diabetes. • Post-operative care to aid in recovery after surgery.
