Patricia and Patrick Wethern
OwnersPatrick and Patricia opened BrightStar Care of Hudson/Solon after multiple decades of combined experience in the healthcare industry. Patrick, who holds an MBA from The University of Akron, spent 20 years as a Group Controller for a global medical device company and Patricia BSN, RN has an extensive healthcare background in acute care, home healthcare and geriatric care. Interested in going into business for themselves, the Wethern’s were attracted to BrightStar Care due to its business model that focuses on providing the highest standard of care for a wide spectrum of health needs and the accreditation requirement from the Joint Commission.

Director of NursingHow long have you been a nurse?
I have been a nurse for over 7 years with a strong background in patient-centered care and clinical leadership. Since 2021 I have been part of Brightstar Care, where I have developed expertise in managing diverse patient needs and supporting both clients and their families.
What expertise and experience do you bring to BrightStar Care?
I am committed to growing a supportive team environment, maintaining high standards of clinical practice, and delivering positive outcomes for our clients.
What part of your job are you most passionate about?
With a foundation in memory care nursing, I have been able to provide compassionate, skilled care to individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, ensuring safety, dignity and quality of life.Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband and 4 children along with our pets. I take pride in fostering for a local shelter, knowing I have found cats/dogs a loving home. If time permits I also enjoy crafting.
What are three unique strengths you bring to BrightStar Care?

RN Nicole Powers
Assistant Director of NursingMy name is Nicole Powers, RN , and I am excited to be a part of the Brightstar Care team as your Assistant Director of Nursing. I bring a diverse nursing background with experience in trauma, med surge, endoscopy, oncology, palliative care, and hospice. I am currently a chemo certified nurse as well.
Throughout my career, I have been passionate about providing compassionate, patient centered care while supporting and mentoring fellow healthcare professionals.
I believe that exceptional care begins with a strong, supported team. My goal is to foster a culture of collaboration, open communication, accountability, and continuous learning where every team member feels valued and empowered to encourage professional growth, and create a positive environment for our clients and their families as well as our staff.

Joann Iannetta
Branch ManagerAs Branch Manager, I am committed to providing exceptional service to our clients while supporting our caregivers and office team to ensure the highest quality of care. My career in healthcare began in 2015 as a Scheduler for a nursing home. Through dedication and hard work, I was promoted to Payroll and then Human Resources Manager within my first year.
I first joined BrightStar Care in 2021 as a part-time Recruiter before transitioning to a full-time role. As my responsibilities grew, I also took on Scheduling Coordinator duties and was later promoted to Director of Operations. After taking a year away, I was excited to return to the BrightStar family in December 2025 as Branch Manager.
Throughout my career, I have developed a passion for building strong teams, supporting caregivers, and ensuring clients receive compassionate, dependable care. I believe that communication, teamwork, and a commitment to excellence are the foundation of outstanding home care, and I strive to create an environment where both employees and clients feel valued and supported.
Outside of work, my greatest joy is spending time with my three amazing grandchildren. I also enjoy taking the occasional gambling getaway with my dear friends whenever I can. Above all, family is at the center of everything I do, and I bring that same sense of care and dedication to my role at BrightStar every day.

Business Development ManagerHow long have you been in sales/marketing? What is your background?
I have been in sales and marketing for two years, prior to that I worked in a skilled facility, as a nurse for 15 years.
What expertise and experience do you bring to BrightStar Care?
I have worked with the geriatric population for 17 years. My expertise is in geriatrics and veterans.
What part of your job are you most passionate about?
I am most passionate about helping people fine great care for their loved ones and also to help with the families by giving the resources when they are going through so much.
