How long have you been a nurse?
I've been a nurse for over 40 years. I have worked in many areas of the hospital, mostly at Cedars Sinai. About 10 years ago I moved into home health care and have been helping people at home with infusions, assessments and helping their loved ones stay at home safely.
What expertise and experience do you bring to BrightStar Care?
I have had over 10 years of experience in the homecare setting, including 4 years as a Supervisor/Director. My experience allows me to place myself in both the patient's shoes and the clinicians’ shoes. When we serve with compassion our patients benefit the most.
What part of your job are you most passionate about?
My passion has always been patient care. I believe as a leader in Healthcare, I have had the opportunity to integrate advocacy for patients, as well as advocacy for employees. I believe a well-trained and supported employee provide the best care, which yields the best patient outcomes.
What are three unique strengths you bring to BrightStar Care?
- I'm a problem solver. I want to dig deep and really find what could make care at home better.
- I'm approachable and have the desire to be helpful. I believe in the team approach to patient care.
- I am a big believer in clear communication. I have learned that it is important to communicate with employees and clients in ways that best suits them.
