Jennifer Ensminger, Owner/Administrator
A Washington State native, Jennifer has been managing in healthcare related fields since 2000. Because she was President of an orthopedic specialty hospital in Los Angeles California as well as the President and Chief Administrative Officer of a two-hospital system in Eugene and Springfield, she has an immense knowledge of the healthcare industry and what it takes to build and sustain a healthy company. In 2014 Jennifer decided to open BrightStar Care of Lane County because she felt there was limited options for a quality in home care agency in our area and thought she could create a company based on core values and appreciating her employees who would in-turn provide premium care for her clients. Her mission is to provide the highest quality care to our clients and give peace of mind to families in need of specialized care for just about any situation imaginable. She has her Bachelors in Science from Whitman College in Walla Walla Washington and her Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu California. She has an amazing husband with three wonderful teenagers in school in Eugene who all enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer.
Serene Paxton, Director of Nursing
A West Coast native, Serene has been a Registered Nurse for greater than a quarter century. Many of those years were spent caring and advocating for the Geriatric community. She is committed to providing caring team members and resources to support client’s desires to remain safely and comfortably in the environment that best meets their needs, while also providing respite for loving family and friends to weather life’s many challenges.
Serene is a sucker for animals and babies. She enjoys laughter, singing, dancing, gardening, quilting, crochet and sewing historical and period costumes. She loves the history of places and people and can’t resist a good story.
Lacey Hines, Community Relations Manager
A Louisiana native, Lacey recently moved to the Eugene area. She has a family full of doctors, registered nurses and facility administrators that have shown her the amazing impact the healthcare profession can play on individuals and their families during difficult times. Her background comes from marketing and donor relations for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Lacey earned her degree in Communications from University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has an adorable Scottish terrier and loves the outdoors. She enjoys meeting new people and helpping individuals in the Lane Country area with all of their care-giving needs.
Kentrel Davis, Customer Care Associate
Kentrel is our Client Care Coordinator and a native of St. Paul Minnesota. He plays the cello, loves to draw and paint and while not working at BrightStar Care, he reads books to kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Eugene. Kentrel has a cat named O’Mally, is an uncle to 10 nieces and is one of the original members of the tiny home project called Emerald Village of Eugene. Being able to speak three languages, he hopes to travel to Grease, Iceland and Greenland someday. Kentrel feels that every moment that he spends talking with our BrightStar Care clients fulfills his continued desire to travel the world.
