  • Jennifer Ensminger

    A Washington State native, Jennifer has been managing in health care related fields since 1999.  Because she was President and COO of an orthopedic specialty hospital in Los Angeles California as well as the Chief Administrative Officer of a two-hospital system in Eugene and Springfield, she has an immense knowledge of the healthcare industry and what it takes to build and sustain a healthy company with happy employees, strong policies and excellent training practices. In 2014 Jennifer decided to open BrightStar Care of Lane County because she felt there was limited options for a quality in-home care agency in our area and thought she could create a company based on strong core values and by appreciating her employees who would in-turn provide premium care for her clients.  Her mission is to provide the highest quality care to our clients and give peace of mind to families in need of specialized care for just about any situation imaginable. She has her Bachelors in Science from Whitman College in Walla Walla Washington and her Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine University in Malibu California. She has an amazing husband with three wonderful teenagers in school in Eugene and Corvallis who enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer as well as learning new vegan recipes and perfecting her gardening abilities each year.
  • Nichole Fry

    Director of Nursing
    Nichole Fry is our new Director of Nursing. She is also an Oregon native and loves everything about family and being an awesome nurse educator.  Nichoel has four wonderful children and is an avid gamer!  She has been an Oregon registered nurse since 2011, received her initial degree from Lane Community College, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health and Science University in Portland Oregon and graduated summa cum laude. Finally, Nichoel received her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City Utah. She worked at the Lane County Adult Corrections Facility here in Eugene for two years and now is the regional nurse for the Eugene School District for 4J.  Besides specializing in equity, mental health, nursing education, protocols, safety, supervision and nurse leadership, Nichoel has had the honor of being the "School Nurse of the Year 2020" for the Oregon School Nurses Association, the recipient of the "Excellence in Public Health Award 2019" from Lane County Public Health, and the recipient of the "Carol A. Lindeman Award for Excellence in Nursing, Research, Innovative Leadership and a Vision for Healthcare 2013" from the Oregon Health and Science University. Nichoel is now responsible for all medication administration training, medication administration compliance and management, agency clinical compliance with Oregon Health Authority and the Joint Commission, and initial and follow up client assessment management and compliance.
  • Dezirae Anderson

    Billing Manager
    A native of Oregon, Dezirae loves everything about the outdoors. She and her family love to camp, bike, and explore everything our beautiful state has to offer. Dezirae received her degree in medical office management from Pioneer Pacific College and did her externship with BrightStar Care of Lane County. The experience was such a good fit that she became part of our office staff in 2019 as a scheduler and has worked her way up the responsibility ladder to billing manager and now is our amazing office manager. Dezirae’s consistent positive attitude and let’s get this done mantra has set her apart from her peers. She is a natural problem solver and loves caring for our employees and clients to make sure they are always experiencing the best that BrightStar Care has to offer.
  • Lourie Morgan, RN BSN

    Laurie is an Oregon native and has been a registered nurse since 2001. Early in her nursing career she was a traveling nurse and worked as a staff nurse in Hillsboro OR, a gamma knife nurse in Honolulu HI, and an emergency room staff nurse in New London CT. Since being back to Oregon in 2010, Lourie has worked as a case manager at McKenzie Willamette Medical Center and Trillium Health, as a camp nurse at Camp Harlow and most recently as a South Eugene K-12 regional school nurse for the Eugene 4J School District. Laurie is a people person who is calm under pressure and has been recognized for her excellent clinical skills. She loves everything about life, the outdoors, her clients and spending time with her daughter. She enjoys working with BrightStar Care of Lane County because she has a flexible schedule and is part of a dynamic nursing team who supports her desire to provide premium care to her clients.
  • Eden VanBloem, RN BSN

    Eden is a native of Roseburg Oregon and has been a nurse since 2016. Starting out as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at CHI Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, she finished as a surgical unit nurse. Her passion was in community health which brought her to Eugene in 2017 to work with the Community Health Centers of Lane County. She then worked for the Eugene School District 4J as a school athletics nurse. Eden joined BrightStar Care in 2021 as our weekend field nurse. She has a passion to serve and has very strong assessment skills and clinical judgement. She loves the clinical team approach to client care at BrightStar Care of Lane County. When she is not out in the field assessing BrightStar Care clients, she is at home with her growing family enjoying everything motherhood brings each season.
